Job Requirements

  • Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect

  • Desire and ability to communicate with clients and families

  • Completed the State of CT required training and certification

  • Professional and Compassionate

  • Speaks English, Spanish or bi-lingual

  • Driver’s License or State ID and Social Security required for application processing

  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required for transporting clients

  • Adhere to Agency Policies and Schedules

  • Proper usage of time management system Electronic Visit Verification

  • Meets state requirements for background and reference checks

  • Follow Safety Protocols per Workers’ Compensation

  • Complete In-Service Training

  • Work schedules are based on client needs and service type

    Personal Care Assistant - Duties

    • Assist with bathing and grooming for personal hygiene

    • Dressing

    • Eating

    • Transfer and Bathroom help

    • Accompany to doctor appointments/activities

    • Self-administered medication reminders

    • Light Housekeeping - Making and changing beds, dusting, dishes, cleaning kitchens and bathrooms, vacuuming, wet mopping floors

    • Laundry

    • Meal Preparation - Meal planning including implementation of special diets

    • Grocery Shopping and Errands

    • Experience with a Hoyer Lift a plus

    Companion - Duties

    • Conversation and social activities

    • Light meal preparation and clean up

    • Self-Administered Medication Reminders

    • Transportation to appointment or errands

    • Safety Monitoring

    Homemaker - Duties

    • Light Housekeeping - changing beds, dusting, dishes, cleaning kitchens and bathrooms, vacuuming, wet mopping floors

    • Laundry

    • Meal Preparation - Meal planning including implementation of special diets

    • Grocery Shopping and Errands

    • Self-Administered Medication Reminders
